Live Music in Franklin, TN

Trade the Downtown Crowd for a Night of Live Music in Franklin

    October 23, 2026

Crowd enjoying live music in Franklin, TN at an intimate outdoor performance surrounded by trees.

There’s no shortage of live music in Franklin, TN, but not every show comes with room to spread out, stay awhile, and actually hear the people you came with. On Saturday, November 17th, Mobile Music Institute is taking over Jamesleine Farm in Franklin for something a little different: an evening of live music, cocktails, cornhole, and time to enjoy the property between sets.

No packed downtown bar. No rushing through a set so the next act can load in. Just a fall night outside the city built around good music and good company.

Come for the Whole Night, Not One Set

A lot of live music is built around one act and one start time. This night isn’t.

Unlike many fall events in Nashville that keep you moving from one scheduled thing to the next, there’s room here to let the evening unfold. Grab a drink. Play a round. Walk the property. Come back when the next set starts. Beyond performing, singer-songwriters Grace Leer, Van Andrew, Willie Morrison, Eric Van Houten, and Josh Melton will also share the inspiration behind each song.

But what happens onstage is only half of the reason Mobile Music Institute is bringing people together.

    Your Ticket Opens Two Doors

First, it gets you into a night of live music in Franklin that you’d want to go to anyway.

Second, it brings 15 Nashville-area students inside the world they've always dreamed of: the music industry. For six weeks, they stop learning about music from the outside and start doing the work themselves. They form a band, working as a unit to write and record an original song alongside working professionals. Then, they learn what happens after the song exists, from management and marketing to royalties and touring.

That matters because for a teenager who loves music, the future can look like one very narrow door. Make it as an artist, or move on. MMI shows them how much bigger the industry really is.

Students and their families pay nothing for that experience. But the professionals teaching them, the equipment, and the program behind those six weeks still have to be funded. Your ticket to the farm helps make sure cost is never the thing that keeps a student out.

You Get a Show, They Get a Shot

You don’t need a cause to justify going out for live music in Franklin, TN. MMI's night at the farm is worth showing up for on its own. But if you’re choosing where to spend your ticket money, why not choose the night that also helps 15 young musicians get closer to making a life in music?
